El Enemigo, Malbec 2019

Flag of Argentina

In 2009, historian Adrianna Catena and soils engineer Alejandro Vigil decided to create a winery that would represent the true culture, tradition and history of Argentina; and El Enemigo, "The Enemy", was born. The vineyards are located in the storied region of Mendoza, where the unique calcareous soils and high altitude climate have made this one of the best wine growing regions in the world. Malbec 2019 has been blended with 6% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot to add a really plummy depth of flavour to the characteristically Malbec flavours of juicy blueberry and violet. The palate has a bright acidity which is tempered by the medium-full body. It's a superb pair with grilled meats, and is ready to be enjoyed now or over the next 5-10 years.
